Got my Visa today. :) Now I´m officially allowed to stay in the U.S. for one year. Had a chat with a girl, who goes to my school as well and just hase come back from a high school year and she said my mum should call the organization every 2 weeks. :O Obviously you won´t get a good host family with luck, only with pressure. I can´t believe that her organization messed everything up when she was in the U.S.. I hope it won´t be like that in my case.
Whereever I´ll end up - you´ll know it.
To get you involved in my experiences and also happy and sad times during my high school year I made the choise to do a blog.
Now I don´t have to write a mail to you which is long like a mile. Hope you´ll enjoy it and might try a high school year by yourself.

American Embassy in Berlin
Cameron Diaz at the premiere "The Bad Teacher" (photo made by me)
The Bundestag
Just like I´ve told you: I went to the American Embassy friday morning. First I had to wait outside with all the others and met three girls, who are going to the U.S. as well. That was quite good so we didin´t have to go through it all alone. But I wasn´t that nervous anyway - but one of the girls was! She hasn´t got her host family as well, which made me feel better than before. When the woman told us 4 to go to the security we had to show our passports and so on. They gave us a paper which gave us information about the following process. We had to sort our papers exactly the way it was written! It wasn´t allowed to take any different things apart from our papers. After going through the Security (like at the airport) we had to wait about a half an hour till we gave our papers to a woman. Another half hour waiting followed till a man called my name to the Interview. He was really nice and made jokes: If I would go to America to watch motor crossing? I don´t understand the joke yet but maybe I will some time :D. Anyway, he asked me if I knew where I would live in the U.S. and I said no. He also asked me if I knew where I wanted to end up and I said I didn´t. So he said: "So you don´t know anything apart from going to the U.S.... Okay you´ve got the visum, have a nive day. And that´s it. Nothing spectacular if you ask me.
The other things I experienced in Berlin were much more interesting. For example I saw Cameron Diaz!!! at the premiere of "The bad teacher" in Berlin by contingency. (You can see her on the photo). I just arrived in Hamburg a few hours ago and it was a great weekend.
If you ever have to go to the embassy in Berlin stay the whole weekend! It´s worth it. And take a look at the Event Cinema and you might have luck and see some celebreties just like me. :)

Impatience!!!
Well, I haven´t got my host family yet. If I go to the website of EF on facebook there´s always someone being happy about getting his/her host family. Why the hell does that take so long? I know I shouldn´t bother, but all of you who have done this know who I feel. I´m impatient and I wanna get to know them and not sitting around here doing school and being restless. Please hurry up, EF! Just a little. I don´t wanna hear in august: You will go to for exampe Nebraska in three days!
I hope at least one host family will pick me. :/
